I have always felt more than most people seemed comfortable with.
As a child I knew things I had no way of knowing — the emotional state of a room before I entered it, the shape of a situation before anyone had spoken. I felt energy the way some people feel temperature. Not as a metaphor. As something physical and real, moving through and between people like a current I could learn to read.
For a long time I thought everyone felt this. Then I grew up and understood they didn't. And I spent years trying to make myself quieter, more rational, more legible to a world that did not have much patience for what I was describing.
The spiritual world did not come to me through seeking. It came through breaking open.
When my marriage ended in my mid-thirties, something cracked wide. Not just emotionally — I mean that the layer between ordinary consciousness and something much older and deeper became thin in a way I had never experienced before.
One morning before dawn, sitting alone on the floor of my apartment, I had an experience I have never been able to fully describe and have stopped trying to. What I can say is this: for a period of time I felt completely outside the story I had been living. I saw the entire pattern of my life with a clarity that had nothing to do with thinking. Every choice, every heartbreak, every turning point — connected. Running in a direction. Pointing toward something I had been circling without ever naming.
Beneath it all I felt something vast, ancient, and profoundly alive. Something that recognised me.
Whether you call it nature, spirit, the earth's intelligence, or consciousness itself hardly matters. What mattered was the certainty — absolute and physical and completely calm — that I was part of something much larger than myself. And that it had been trying to communicate with me for a very long time.
When the experience ended, I knew I could not go back to living the way I had before.
I left everything behind and went east.
Somewhere en route. The first pages.
India changed the way I understood human beings, including myself.
In Rishikesh I studied with a Vedic scholar named Rajan Nair, a man who had spent decades immersed in teachings far older than anything I had encountered in the West. Under his guidance the chakra system became something entirely different from the simplified versions I had seen before. Not a diagram. Not self-help. A living map of human experience — one I could feel operating in my own body and, increasingly, in the people around me.
I began to see something I could not unsee: where a person's energy moved freely, and where it had been blocked for so long that the blockage had started to feel like personality. The woman who could not stop giving and could not receive. The woman who knew exactly what she thought but could never say it. The woman who was brilliant in relationship and could not be alone with herself. The patterns repeated across every person I met. Different surfaces. The same deep currents.
In Kerala, an Ayurvedic teacher helped me understand how the soul's unresolved patterns write themselves into the physical body — into the inflammation, the fatigue, the pain that has no obvious medical cause. In Varanasi, a Vedic astrologer described the recurring shape of my own life with a precision that left me humbled rather than impressed.
Eight months in India taught me one thing above all else: the pattern is always there. Once you know how to look, you cannot stop seeing it.
Rishikesh, India. The Ganges at sunset.
I spent the next two years living among rice fields north of Ubud. Balinese spirituality does not separate the sacred from the ordinary. The natural world is not something outside of us — it is something we participate in, continuously, whether we are conscious of it or not.
Every morning I watched offerings being placed at temples and crossroads — flowers chosen with care, arranged with intention, carrying specific meaning. Flowers were not decoration. They were communication between the human world and something listening.
During that time I met a balian named Wayan Sari. She looked at my energy the way a doctor reads a scan — directly, without performance. She told me that I had spent years trying to grow in the wrong direction. That my nature had a specific shape and a specific direction, and that the suffering in my life had been the consequence of moving against it.
Then she said something I return to every single day:
The earth already knows what you are. Your only work is to agree.
One evening, sitting alone beneath the open sky, something in me opened that has not closed since. I felt the pulse of the living world as if it were my own heartbeat. I understood — not as a thought but as a physical certainty — that every person is a specific expression of the earth's energy. That the natural world has been trying to show us who we are for as long as we have existed. That most of us have simply forgotten how to listen.
I came back from that evening knowing what I was here to do.
Outside Cusco I spent six weeks with a curandera named Doña Carmen, whose work in the Andean tradition focused on lineage, ancestry, and the unseen patterns passed through families across generations. The Andean framework asks not only who you are, but what you carry. What arrived long before you did. What patterns belong to you, and which ones were inherited.
The ceremonies I sat with there were among the most profound experiences of my life. I will not turn them into stories. What I will say is that I came down from those mountains with an overwhelming sense of clarity and direction — not about destiny in any grand sense, but about the specific thing I was here to build and the specific women I was here to build it for.
The earth had been preparing me for this for a very long time.
I have sat with teachers on three continents. I have experienced moments that dissolved everything I thought I understood. I have felt the chakra system not as a theory but as a living reality running through every person I encounter. I have received knowledge in ways I cannot fully explain and no longer feel the need to justify.
What I carry from all of it is this: every woman is holding a pattern that the earth has already named. She feels it in her relationships — in the love that keeps working and the love that keeps failing. She feels it in her relationship with money, with her own body, with her family and the dynamics that seem to repeat no matter how much she changes. The pattern has a shape. And when that shape is understood, everything becomes clearer.
I know this because it happened to me. I walked through the collapse of a marriage, through years of financial instability, through the physical cost of living out of alignment with my own nature. I came through all of it — genuinely happy, genuinely grounded, genuinely guided — because I finally understood what I was carrying and what I was here to do with it.
That is what I want for you.
Lunaria is not a personality quiz. It is not a prediction. It is a mirror — built from years of study across Vedic, Balinese, and Andean traditions — that shows you the pattern you have always been running, in language you can finally hold and use.
The earth already knows what you are.
I am here to help you remember it.
